Calumet Services Ltd was appointed to undertake a comprehensive mechanical and public health services installation, incorporating a new plantroom alongside domestic water, ventilation, air conditioning and BMS control systems.
The new plantroom was designed to support the building’s hot and cold water requirements, while mechanical services were distributed throughout the development to serve treatment rooms, toilets, offices, meeting rooms and other occupied spaces.
Calumet Services delivered a fully coordinated package incorporating new plant, domestic water services, ventilation, cooling and intelligent controls to support the operational requirements of the facility.
THE MECHANICAL SERVICES PACKAGE INCLUDED
- New plantroom incorporating two gas-fired water heaters.
- Installation of a new water storage tank and boosted cold water pump set.
- Installation of a chlorine dioxide water treatment unit.
- Domestic hot and cold water services throughout the development, serving new male and female toilet facilities and sinks within the treatment rooms.
- Kitchen extraction system and associated ventilation services.
- Heat Recovery Units (HRUs) providing ventilation to occupied spaces including reception areas, meeting rooms and offices.
- Air conditioning systems serving areas including the staff breakout space and communications room.
- Category 5 water supply to the external bib tap, incorporating an automatic flushing valve.
- BMS control panel and associated controls to provide efficient operation and management of the mechanical plant.
The project demonstrates Calumet Services’ ability to deliver a comprehensive mechanical and public health services package incorporating plantroom installations, domestic water, ventilation, air conditioning and intelligent building controls. The completed systems provide reliable and efficient services throughout the facility, supporting its treatment, welfare, staff and operational areas
