Calumet Services Ltd was appointed to undertake a comprehensive heating plantroom refurbishment, including the replacement of the existing boiler plant and associated mechanical services.
Temporary heating boilers are being utilised to maintain services to the VT and CT circuits throughout the works, allowing the existing plant to be safely removed and the new installation completed with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
The project includes the complete strip-out of the existing Hamworthy boilers and associated pipework, followed by the installation of seven new Hamworthy Upton 350 heating boilers and supporting systems.
THE MECHANICAL SERVICES PACKAGE INCLUDES

Provision of temporary heating boilers to maintain services to the VT and CT circuits throughout the works.

Complete strip-out and removal of the existing Hamworthy boilers.

Removal and modification of associated existing heating pipework.

Supply and installation of seven Hamworthy Upton 350 heating boilers.

Installation of a new specialist flue system serving the replacement boiler plant.

The project demonstrates Calumet Services’ ability to undertake complex heating plant replacement and refurbishment works while maintaining essential services throughout the programme. The use of temporary heating plant enables continuity of the VT and CT circuits during the changeover, with the completed installation set to provide a modernised and fully coordinated heating system supported by new flues, controls and associated infrastructure.
