Calumet Services Ltd was appointed to undertake the mechanical services installation for the Kidderminster Creative Hub, a major project aimed at transforming the existing space into a vibrant community, cultural and creative destination. The development provides a range of flexible work, performance and production spaces, alongside co-working areas within the main buildings and the historic former weaving sheds. The new facilities have been designed to support a diverse range of creative and commercial activities, including dedicated creative and maker spaces equipped with modern technology to encourage research, innovation and the adoption of new applications across key sectors such as advanced manufacturing, healthcare and the creative industries.
The hub also provides facilities to support artistic and creative performances, while creating opportunities for local young talent to develop the skills and experience required to thrive within an increasingly digitalised 21st-century economy. Calumet Services delivered a comprehensive mechanical and public health services package to support the new facilities and ensure the building could meet the varied requirements of its users. The works included the installation of a new plantroom.

Sanitaryware installations to the male and female toilet facilities.

Sanitaryware installations to cleaners’ cupboards throughout the development.
The project demonstrates Calumet Services’ ability to deliver a fully coordinated mechanical and public health services package within a complex community and cultural development. The installation successfully incorporated heating, hot water, specialist DX cooling, ventilation, drainage, controls and sanitaryware systems, supporting the hub’s diverse range of creative, commercial, performance and community facilities.
