Q3 Academy – Langley
Calumet services designed, installed and commissioned the mechanical services to a new 1200 pupil school. The building was designed, constructed and successfully commissioned four weeks before PC. Calumet services project managers and design team worked closely with the construction team and architects to resolve the pinch points along the distribution routes ahead of construction.
The services included all external new main gas & water and sprinkler tanks with underground mains. The building has an integrated sprinkler fire protection system, naturally ventilated spaces, mechanically ventilated spaces, new heating systems, air conditioning and hot and cold supplies to all sanitary, science labs.
The main pipework and ductwork distributed around the ground floor serving both ground and first floor rooms. The new air handling units housed upon the roof are fully integrated to the new BMS system.
The new state of the art kitchen/ dining room double height space was fully air conditioned including two further heat recovery air handling units and 6 roof mounted smoke vents that were all integrated onto the BMS.
The building was fully tested and commissioned by Calumet services.
